PROGRAM AT THE SOUTH TYROL MUSEUM OF ARCHAEOLOGY
4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Textile Workshop for Families
Step back in time and try your hand at ancient weaving! Discover how our ancestors created fabrics and explore the secrets of the warp-weighted loom. A unique highlight awaits: woolen stockings found high on the Rieserferner Glacier, preserved just as they may have been left behind by an Iron Age trader.
5:00 pm – 10:00 pm
THE LOFT – Living through the Millennia
What does it mean to “live well”? Journey through time and see how people made their homes in the Stone Age and Roman times. Reconstructed house types from South Tyrol are set side by side with modern living habits. As a special treat, you can watch a live weaving demonstration inspired by the Rhaetian house of the Iron Age.
10:00 pm – midnight
Music in the Museum
Round off your evening with atmospheric sounds that fill the museum and let your visit end on a high note.
A shuttle bus service will be available.
Current information about the program can also be found at www.langenacht.it (only in German and Italian).
