THE LOFT To feel at home – today and yesterday

Housing over the course of millennia
There is a world of difference between having a protective roof over one’s head and relaxing comfortably on a living room couch – and it was a long time before nomadic dwellings developed into places where people feel at home.

In THE LOFT we present several types of shelters that have been reconstructed using archaeology, ranging from the Mesolithic to the Roman Era, and compare them with modern living conditions.

Feeling at home
Comfortable seating in THE LOFT invites you to relax after your museum visit, chat, do nothing, or be inspired by interactive stations about life in the past. Feel at home in THE LOFT!

THE LOFT will be open until November 2nd, 2025.
