Long Night of the Bolzano Museums

Embark on a journey of discovery: ten museums in Bolzano are offering a colorful program that will continue until midnight. Experience guided tours, exhibitions, concerts, games, and fun, and take a peek behind the scenes of the museums.
 
From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., the museums’ offers are specially tailored to families with children.
 
Free admission to all participating museums. A shuttle bus service will be available.

Backstage: Research Up Close

Trees tell stories of the past, high-resolution images open up new worlds, archaeological excavations in the mountains offer insights into the lives of our ancestors on Alpine pastures, and microscopic organisms could pose a serious threat to Ötzi.

Touch, ask, discuss and understand: our experts bring research at the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology to life for visitors of all ages.

Look Closely! – How to Draw Archaeological Finds

Drop-in activity for children

It is amazing how many tiny details you can discover when drawing an archaeological find! It is not always easy, but even a small fragment can reveal what the complete object originally looked like. Try it yourself and watch a real professional at work!
