Ever smaller tissue samples in the nano range and ever more precise measuring and diagnostic techniques are delivering ever more accurate results and prompting more and more questions.
The Iceman’s uniqueness will also ensure that he continues to occupy a prominent position in general mummy research.
As there is a global dearth of comparable specimens, the technology used to keep him cool, which has necessarily been empirical, also continues to develop.
